       @dcc I am getting one episode in mind... A dog trainer and a psychiatrist or something who was also a movie buff trained his dog to murder his old partner and lover of his ex-wife when the phone rings... Colombo accidentally found out that when the phone rang in the police station the dogs went nuts... He had them deprogrammed and programmed again to catch the murderer in the end when he admits he is the murderer and he also murdered his wife.
