@BlueDouche my grandad remembered that the Lawerence welk band was a regular touring group that would play at local towns. He danced to them several times.even as little kid I enjoyed the polkas...but other than that it was torture.

@BlueDouche @CattleBaron Aww. I have to agree but when we were taking care of our widowed grandfather, Saturday night was special. We would have dinner and listen to zydeco, Lawrence Welk and catch the Christian Country music show on TV. At the time it annoyed me but now I miss him so much I am reminded of him when I see Lawrence Welk, hear zydeco or any Christian Country music.
