@kkarhan The way to 'forcibly retire' a SCOTUS justice is via impeachment. There are insufficient votes in Congress at the moment to successfully impeach Thomas. After all, he's one of the Republicans' ringers. @georgetakei

@kkarhan Quite a lot of the US system relies on legislators working in good faith for the people. There are checks available from each branch on the other two. I don't think the founders anticipated control of any one of them to fall to fascists. Electoral College is anachronistic and was created to shield control of the Presidency from uneducated or illiterate voters. Very elitist. However, POTUS is not an elected monarch, despite Trump trying to treat the position as such. @georgetakei
