       One thing I love about Mastodon is that with as-few-as 1 or 2 friendly/kind interactions with a stranger, you often gain a new follower.I’m not saying gaining new followers is the reason to be kind, but it's a nice added benefit.So... Be kind out there y’all, and don't be surprised if you make new friends along the way!
