       I have this NUC with a quad core celeron and I put a clean install of windows 10 and office 365 on it a few weeks agojust booted it for the third time since that install and the CPU has been pegged at 100% for like 10 minutes now

       @VIcFury first, teams launched on boot and was raping the CPU just by existingnow it seems to be doing multiple office-related updates concurrently which is hammering the SSD

       @deprecated_ii In Edge, setting search for hardware. There are two settings about Hardware acceleration, one is about allowing the use of  acceleration in the background. Turn both of these OFF. NUK can’t deal with Hardware Acceleration. If you have Chrome installed, do this for Chrome browser as well. Sounds goofy but it helps. Yes, it’s using Edger browser to do updates… even if you have another selected as default.

       @VIcFury it stopped raping the machine after about 30 minutesfortunately this machine is solely for taking proctored exams so I rarely need to put up with windows crap. my other windows machine is very powerful so whatever windows does, I don't notice
