       @Korgy Funnily enough some of the pronunciation and vocabulary things they make fun of are actually holdovers from how english was spoken by colonial settlers at the time. For instance the words "candy" and "soccer" or the silent h in "herb" were used in british english for a while before falling out of common use there.
