       @johnnyappleseed My grandma's maiden name was Chapman and she claimed we are descended from John Chapman (Johnny Appleseed). This sing tells our family story. She and Grandpa had 100 acres they worked, dad could only afford 40 that he let go fallow because he had a 7am-3pm trades job as mom mostly stayed home (we had a big garden though), my wife and i and i both work fulltime and can barely afford the 2 acres we were lucky enough to find. The original 100 acres got split up when Grandma died, but at least my uncle put 40 actes of hardwoods in a trust ro be preserved so the kids and grandkids might ha e a chance to visit and enjoy. Suburbs are creeping closer and boosting the land around it to ridiculous prices and the taxes alone will be difficult to bear moving forward.Thanks for sharing, glad i found your timeline.
