I was thinking about this other day as my dog enter her last months. She'll be the 9th one I will have had to put down... Sucks!! I once read an article about a veterinarian who said the saddest part of his job is when people bring their pets in that have to be put down and to make it easy on themselves They leave while it's happening and the pets spend their final moments looking around frantically for their owners.Don't be that person....you owe them better.https://t.me/fsfCIacomQ4ZjNh/62231

@icare4america Most vets give injectable tranquilizers before the final injection. The pet falls asleep with the owners. The animals are totally knocked out before we give the final injection. 💕🙏🐾 That's how we do it anyway.

@icare4america I am so sad for you. I have been there so many times with my own. It's hard for me to look at my dogs now without thinking how little time I have left with them! The veterinary field can suck at times.😥 What would happen if they all out lived us? We can love more of them the way it is. We will see them in the next place!🥳

@icare4america As hard as it is, we’ve been there to love on them as they transition to the rainbow bridge. My pups have been there for me unconditionally why would I choose not to be with them when they need me most. Sorry, you gotta go thru it again.❤️🙏🏻❤️

@icare4america 4 years ago we employed a travelling vet to euthanize our 17.5 y.o. kitty.The vet & her assistant were demonstrably kind and sweet - talking gently to our girl as she lay on our bed, her favorite spot.It was painless - we stroked her fur and she gazed into her Very Favorite Person's eyes as she passed.No fear - she sighed then passed purring and content.The way "to go" for us from now on, if needed (of course it'll be needed, but had to add that!)
