       Land acknowledgements, the latest exercise in pseudo progressiveness in America, has yet to reach the Nordics. Ask Native-Americans and they'll tell you that running water on the rez, or McGirt or good jobs are priorities, but instead, empty words.In Sweden the ongoing argument is the traditional hunting, fishing and herding rights of the Sami vs but I assume Greta and her group are probably trying to eliminate the use of snow scooters, helicopters and implement re-education camps for herders.

       So much about flygskam feels coded at immigrants, who supposedly are the ones flying all over the place. The right gets on board, it seems, by an assumption without regular connections to their former nations they'll assimilate better/leave. Lacking richer friends with yachts would really crimp their access. Ditto the working class. Sunny holidays in Antibes for Greta, cloudy cold Swedish beaches for everyone else. Long distances often take longer by train in much of Europe than on Amtrak.

       @ParadeGrotesque Greta is a spoiled rich brat whose grasp of the world is zero. She and her ilk have the same policy towards Sami as the state has had for centuries.She has done NOTHING to change Swedish climate policy. It's still practically impossible to build wind power, except outside Sweden's EEZ. Sweden still burns recyclables and calls it recycling. She has had no impact at all.
