       Astonishingly, I have successfully upgraded from Fedora 28 to Fedora 38 in a single step with only one failure (/etc/systemd/system/dbus.service symlink didn't get created so dbus didn't start) and now I guess I should write this up because that was ridiculous

       @mjg59 less of a jump but I managed to upgrade a machine on Fedora 33 Silverblue to Fedora 38 Silverblue due to the goodness of `ostree` with deploying directly

       @mjg59 i once moved from fedora to centos and was amazed this went without mayor issues. this also means i do not have to worry skipping a few releases. just make sure to get the certs rpm?

       @mattdm I feel like the fact that I had to binary patch rpm to get to that point suggests this isn't a problem real world users need to worry about that much
