ThreadI really, REALLY hope that the whackadoodle prosecutor in Georgia indicts Trump soon.The Democrats thought that by bringing multiple cases against Trump that they’d bury him under tsunami of negative headlines (that has not worked out very well) and back him into legal corners that hamstring his ability to campaign (that does not seem to be working very well either).

The reality is that they have opened up multiple interconnected cans of worms. I do not have a sense of how the NY hush money case will play into this all, but I do see connectivity between the Mar a Lago documents case and the latest set of indictments from Jack Smith.Most of us are confident that Trump has some very solid information about the 2020 elections. Some of that information may well have been within the cache of documents seized at Mar a Lago.

Let us presume that the purported indictments in Georgia are brought to bear.The outcome of all of this was intended to be a crippling tar baby that ensnared Trump and rendered him unelectable. The reality is that they have given the greatest showman, counterpuncher, deal maker, and comeback king a tactical smorgasbord.

The Georgia case and the latest indictments are obviously linked via the 2020 election. The documents case is linked, at a minimum, because the cast of characters involved were also involved, one way or another, in the election. Who knows, but even the Stormy Daniels case may hold some surprises.

Trump’s legal team will have a very interesting opportunity to play the various prosecutorial adventurists like a fiddle. As discovery proceeds in the various cases, what is revealed in one case can and will force reactions in the others. Trump could introduce, for example, evidence or affidavits in Georgia that would cripple Jack Smith’s case, forcing Smith to take action to prop up his house of cards. This reaction could then be used to pin down some aspect of the Georgia case, etc.

No single judge will have the ability to silence Trump or to keep control of the flow of information coming into their court. Any unfair or unreasonable decisions or errors in law by the various judges will open them up to expedited appeals. It is literally a worst case scenario for them all.

@Andre keeping track of them all is mind boggling. Are there any that seem to involve security clearances to view evidence? I can’t remember and I think most of the cases especially voter fraud should be exposed to the public. Nothing about the elections or how they are done should be hidden. It was always meant to be transparent. I know he de-classified the Mira-Lago stuff so we’ll see about the rest.

@Kat The documents case definitely involves arguments about needing security clearances and the election stuff could easily involve material of a classified nature. This is one more way that Trump can manipulate the pace of the trial. Very easy to big it down at a moment’s notice by entangling the court in arguments about a secret document or some lawyer’s need to have clearance. And even pit one court against another with these issues. A true three ring circus.
