@DianaSez I'm a big soccer fan. I used to play up through high school and covered it in the media for a while. It's a great sport. Women's too.... as long as they're not trying to make it political like the Rapinones. @icare4america

@waronmorons @icare4america I never played Soccer, both because not many did in my youth. In Alabama where I grew up, American football is "the state religion." Plus, I was bad at most sports, so just as well. But Soccer is my favorite spectator sport.

@DianaSez @waronmorons @icare4america In P.E. we all had to play a variety of sports, including a month of soccer.My soccer-sampling left me with 2 takeaways:1) Nagging headaches from bonking me head on da ball repeatedly; and2) Bruised shins from cleated feet swatting me shins repeatedly.I much preferred basketball. Way fun! Super fun! My favorite thing EVER!!

@CarolEmmarie @waronmorons @icare4america Playing is different from watching. I never played anything but softball or dodgeball. I was bad at both, since I could never run fast due to a crooked leg and no one taught me to throw. (I learned to throw by having a paper route as an adult. I'm pretty good now.) But the fun in watching for me is mostly seeing someone use their talent in an amazing way, hence my fandom of Messi.
