What is hilarious to me about Musk saying he'll pay for legal fees is that he just does this in a tweet. Which as soon as it comes to task will result in his lawyers saying it is non-binding. He could put it in the user agreement in binding terms that his company (whatever it is called) would be legally responsible for, but that seems unlikely.https://www.npr.org/2023/08/06/1192394226/musk-vows-to-pay-legal-costs-for-users-who-get-in-trouble-at-work-for-their-tweeMedia needs to be more responsible when reporting stuff like this, it is just a conversation at a party, not a statement.

@ted If he puts it into the AUP, users will show up to TwitX just to cause fights and have someone else pay for it.

@ted Obviously he can't pay for it personally, since they charged him with that for the Stormy Daniels case.

@amerika no... That is because it was done for political reasons and benefited his campaign. But he really ended up in the biggest trouble for the coverup.

@ted Since he had done it in the past, it made sense to follow the procedure there.
