       There are lots of instances proactively blocking bad instances (hate speech, racism, spam,...) which is good but sometimes they overdo it by blocking instances just because of some minor, redeemable mistakes from their admins or users; or because of incompatible views despite they haven't done anything wrong.Sometimes they even do the point that can be considered harassment towards that admin/mod/user as well.Mastodon convenent should be updated now.

       Which the case of #BBC joining #fediverse , some of them may have been transphobic or not in good terms on marginized groups, but remember they are a large organization with many people with different worldviews, in fact they have been criticized by many parties from both side of political spectrum, so they have been suffering quite a lot of pressure for content.I still think their editorial department need to be changed though.

       @alxdre301 You should do your research carefully. blob.cat has an anarchistic approach of blocking instances. The usual rules are enforced locally and every user can decide themself which instance & users are to block.And btw, the kiwifarm instance doesnt exist anymore

       @alxdre301 And this is basically slander. blob.cat federates with anyone, so one can not just decide that if the public blocklist doesnt block a certain server, that there is a association with them. A single person once added blob.cat to a blocklist and since then, this got spread. Usually instance Admins are lazy and just import blocklists without thinking or checking or they just add instances because they cant stand critics like tech.lgbt. Exactly this point is the topic for this thread.So i rather recommend you to do proper research.
