       @lowqualityfacts This one is pretty good...and get a fair amount of ire from dog lovers.

       @lowqualityfacts depends on what you consider fire resistant of course. Dalmatian's are stable beyond 815 degrees Celsius (great for house fires) whereas something like a Labrador can barely stand 100. Pugs strangely enough are proof to tens of thousands of degrees under experimental conditions, but their short legs and tendency towards grumpiness at such temperatures make them unsuitable for rescue work.

       @lowqualityfactsIt's tragic to learn how many dogs that early fire departments set on fire before this discovery.

       @lowqualityfacts People think the spots are just a feature of their coat, but they're actually born pure white. The spots come in during heat treatment when they're puppies. They're slow roasted for several hours over hot coals which increases their fire resistance.

       @lowqualityfacts Fire resistant and even more important, 10 ATM or 100 meters water resistant.

       @lowqualityfacts and because when they get burnt it's harder to tell between the burns and just another spot

       @lowqualityfactsSadly, only fire-resistant, not fire-proof. Please don’t ask me how I know.

       @lowqualityfacts Not many people know that breeders used to force-feed puppies asbestos to make them fire-resistant. Now the breed standard requires that judges hold a lighter under the animal for 15 seconds before they catch on fire.

       @lowqualityfacts The dots are soot badges from fires fought until the dog becomes totally black and gets promoted to Station Chief

       @lowqualityfacts I dunno - most dogs I've been around seemed pretty resistant to being set on fire.
