@Lamdarer @Seyker no one should be using HoloISO or any tiny distro like it, it's just asking for problems

@Lamdarer @gamingonlinux For now I'm waiting for a full release, I want something as comfortable and user-friendly as SteamOs, and getting some more native apps would be nice too

@gamingonlinux We must wait some months to prove it. This might be just a statistical error.

@gamingonlinuxIt might also be related to it being summer more people being outside and on the go.There are less people gaming on a Desktop PC in Summer. I think Linux bigger market share in the Steam Survey often correlated with summer.( As well as certain events like the release of proton or the steam deck).

@gamingonlinux exciting news, but I wonder if apple's transition to arm helped with this trend

@mlabowicz @gamingonlinux I really think it was the stream deck. Arm really only has the power with mobile batteries. The hardware and interface package is top tier, as well, and I think that helped even more.

@gamingonlinux Yeah, thats why I pointed to the BigPictureMode, dont really see any other benefit of SteamOS which you cant get on any other Linux Distro @Seyker

@didek @gamingonlinux Some healthy skepticism is good. Notice however that, simultaneous to the downward trend that took place in March, there was an extremely clear fluke in the number of Chinese-speaking (windows) users blob:null/c913d764-6766-4111-8ebc-9134ababc0c2In comparison, nothing special seemed to have happened in July.It would therefore seem likely that the increase of linux users is not a fluke (whether it's been large enough to remain above mac next month is a different question).
