poast is not hosted in a space that i am comfortable with our data so i have reached out to the person responsible for the datacenter poast is in and i am backing up all of our posts and threads so i am going to pull all of the data off these servers and shut poast down for a couple days until i can restart it somewhere else. none of your data will be lost. this wont happen until maybe 5pm today (in about 15 hours)

@GuitarHijinx Yes, NAS lives on two servers in my basement. Cloudflare is just a cache and DDoS protection. NAS could exist without CF, but it does solve a few problems, despite how much I despise them.My ISP are shitters and only offer me 40M upload, but that's fine for mastodon's JSON content which makes up the majority of requests.Static content (images, videos) are hosted at Wasabi and do not egress through my network. This drastically reduces my local bandwidth requirements.

@eriner Locals are being offered gigabit fiber, but I am skeptical. CO (in a 1 YR leased location) is right next to a radio tower, and company is brand new.2.5g symmetric, what's that? I guess we're a fully rural community, cause terms like that sound like crazy talk.
