       @comrade_lecter @naturalinstinct not really, zoomap means you're attracted to both animals (of any age) and young humans, while zooyouth means you're attracted to young animals specifically.

       @slightly_blue @naturalinstinct as in, if you're an anthro map and a zoo of any age preference, you can call yourself a zoomap, if you're a zoo with a cub preference, you can call yourself a zoomap.

       @comrade_lecter @naturalinstinct that's not how I have understood this, map is a concept that only makes sense for humans as there is no "minor" animals.

       @slightly_blue @naturalinstinct I feel like, where this term was "born" (old Tumblr freshly migrated to Twitter), the idea of mapness was very much divorced from the idea of a minor. Most of us were either non native speakers or very young. I identified as a zoomap for my attraction to young deer, prior to my coming out as a "regular" map. And I don't remember thinking whether animals can have minors or no.

       @comrade_lecter @naturalinstinct interesting, that's a different interpretation than I'm used to.also I'm realizing that I tend to think of mapness and zooness as two distinct things, while you think of them more as two different "axes" that can interact? if you know what I mean?

       @slightly_blue @naturalinstinct I tend to see the entirety of orientation as some large multidimensional thing. It overlaps for me pretty often. Young deer are teens, hooves are shoes. Etc.
