There aren't many good desktop clients left. Also, simplex amongst others protect metadata which xmpp with omemo doesn't

They are not on the server, so users have to send messages to all participants which only works for very small groups.

Normal chat works great but groups are buggy because of the design. It will improve somewhat with v2 groups but without them implemented server side, it will not work well I think

@r4v3r23 @NotMtth @gvs kinda pointless to go through the effort of hiding as much metadata manually when the party/person you're interacting with might not have, or might not have done so perfectlyso yeah, exactly like coinjoin, and since the CIA/NSA/FBI have admitted they kill people based on metadata: all it takes is one mistake.
