In my folder tree in #Obsidian, I've a fixed structure for my projects, with subfolders for meetings, resources, documentation, etc. Is there a way to easily create the needed folders automatically whenever I setup a new project?

@anders Hmm, ok. I think directories might be hard. You could certainly do the automatic creation of a project index/MOC file. Obsidian Projects would do that. That could be a Templater template containing links to a meetings file, contacts file, etc. Clicking those links would create the file. You could have a template for each type containing a dataview query to list all meetings for that project (I do this). So you could workaround it but without directories.

@pd Yeah. I’ve been thinking along those lines as well. But there will be a lot of supporting material etc, so think I’ll need the folder structure on the OS level.

@anders Are you on a Mac? You could probably script it in automater and call the script, either from a plugin or something like Alfred app.

@pd Ah! Of course! No need to make the folder structure inside Obsidan.

@anders Curious if Actions for Obsidian could do something like this. @actionsdotwork

@anders you can probably do it with a simple windows batch file.

@AnthonyBaker @anders Well, there is the Create Folder action: https://support.actions.work/article/50-folders-create-folderBut if you’re not on macOS and/or into bare-bones scripting, my #ActionsURI community plugin might help: https://czottmann.github.io/obsidian-actions-uri/routes/folder/
