       My beautiful Cinelli cork bar wrap had a crash so I mended it with electrical tape rather than rewrap. Too kludgy?

       @chris NO !!!nothing is too kludgy, as long as it gets you riding again.But warning:  the adhesive in electrical tape degrades is really weird ways.   I suggest you replace it with cloth athletic tape at your first opportunity.
