Only a few miles from the most southerly point of the UK, this beach looks into the widest part of the English Channel (La Manche to out neighbours), right at the point where it becomes the Atlantic. The horizon at sea is only a little over three miles away, but I enjoy knowing that, beyond these rocks, there is nothing out there for hundreds of miles.#nature#wonderfulworld#photography#blackandwhitephotography#fotomontag

@Andylikesguitars Yup. And the prevailing wind is from the South West, so when it blows, it really blows!I used to live very near Prawle Point, the southernmost point of Devon, and windy days could be *very* interesting.

@Devonkiwi yeah, the wind and waves have a long uninterrupted distance to get some speed up. Makes for an exciting beach though.

@Andylikesguitars I really like the contrast in that photo. Works so well with the waves and rocks.
