If Ukraine has the right to reclaim a separatist region by force, then China also has the right to reclaim a separatist region--right?And if the United States has the right to defend a separatist region with its military power, then Russia also the right to defend a separatist region militarily--right?

@Naureckas or we should make the UN awesome and let the world decide. like they did with the Minsk accords (the UNSC is not the whole UN alas) but had no way to enforce it.

@Naureckas There are no separatist regions in Ukraine, there are regions that have been invaded. If you want people to take you seriously you need to take facts seriously.Americans please stop using wars in other places as talking points for your local political concerns.

@Naureckas If you say Crimea is “separatist region” then you might just as well say Smolensk was a “separatist region of USSR” when it was invaded by Germans in 1941. In both cases factually it was an aggressive invasion by a third country. Right now Russia openly speaks of its veterans of the 2014 invasion on Ukraine, even though they denied their presence there back then against tons of available evidence.

@kravietz @Naureckas he's probably talking about Donbass. It's a familiar American leftist talking point that "the Russian speakers of Ukraine were being oppressed and they created separatist regions." It doesn't stand up to factual scrutiny, but it allows them to own the libs.

Pay attention to the numbers in Donbas on the map below.The nonsense about separatist region proves that someone has not read up on the history behind the fighting there. It was fueled by Russia.
