       @stevenroose Brad Delong's are particularly bad. This Nation article is written by someone who doesn't know anything about history as a scholarly field. https://www.thenation.com/article/society/graeber-wengrow-dawn-of-everything/Walter Schiedel had some good points but he attacks Graeber&Wengrow for writing a book for non-specialists which was their goal. Mike Begg on Debt in the as usual atrocious Jacobin clearly had not read the book. Much of the discussion in Crooked Timber on Debt was just academic jealousy. ...
