@Zealist @merchantHelios It was a pretty good take on elves tbh.In euro folklore, elves typically weren't helpful creatures, but mischevious tricksters or child kidnapping monsters. Tolkien made them uberaryans.

@Giga_Vril_Breaker @Zealist @merchantHelios this is older than tolkien, it goes back to edmund spenser if i remember correctly, before then elf was equivalent to fairy they could be good or fowl, except for norse in which elf apparently meant a finn or a great warrior of some sort
