       @ItsJenNotGoblin Story time: part of my old daily commute (in pre-COVID times of yore when that was a thing) involved passing through a construction tunnel over a sidewalk. It was narrow, with people walking both directions. Everyone was generally civil, and people mostly turned to 45º angles when passing someone coming the other way. However, some guys -- and it was always guys, and they were always expensively dressed -- would just plow through, facing forward, knocking people aside. 1 of 2

       @ItsJenNotGoblin What you wouldn't know about me if we've only chatted online, is that I'm 6 feet tall and large, with broad shoulders. When I’d see guys like that coming, I'd figure "ooh, I bet they like hockey, and they're pretending to be hockey players!” I'd join their fun. As they stepped toward me, I'd square up, brace myself, and plow through, knocking *them* aside. Then I'd go back to being polite and letting tiny people pass me like a civil person. 2 of 2

       @tek I'm like, an average sized woman, but I have fairly wide shoulders for my size. When I worked at Starbucks I used to accidentally bump my coworkers just trying to move regularly. One of my coworkers called them "linebacker shoulders" lmao. I will absolutely check a dude on the sidewalk and they are surprised EVERY TIME, especially if I've already moved over some. We are not all dainty flowers. Some of us are stone cold bitches if the moment arises lol
