@lowqualityfacts Calculus only makes sense to me when used in a physics frame of reference. Thankfully my Calc prof was also a good teacher as well as researcher. When he showed me how calculus equations play out in physics simulation software, it started to make sense.

@lowqualityfacts I do comp sci and the kind of (amateur, game dev) physics that would use calculus (which I struggled with, but passed). I never do, it's always easier to rig up a monte carlo solution or some other hack. Fuck Newton & Leibniz both.

@lowqualityfacts Never in my adult life have I needed to know about California Kick Ball or European Hand Ball, but no one complains about those. As a big slow kid who understood math, I was also angry that speed was graded in absolute terms, but strength was graded relative to weight. Hello gym teachers, ever heard of the square-cube law?! Down with gym class!

@lowqualityfacts I hated math until I took calculus. Calculus is way harder than the stuff that came before it but it's also way more fun.Trigonometry, however, is boring and worthless aside from the apparently handful of times you use it in calculus.

@lowqualityfacts why dod you take appm calculus. Not to learn calculus but to learn how to suffer in your studies well hurting your gpa at the same time. (Appm in applied calculus also knowns as a college version of an ap class that doesnât have a grade boosts). Sorry for the rant but I hate appm calculus so much that I couldnât avoid ranting.
