My best friend's wife went into labor Friday night. They live about 20 minutes outside of the town. Naturally he was doing about 80 trying to get his wife to the hospital. DPS lit him up about a mile from the hospital. He slowed down, put on his flashers and continued to the hospital with the officer blaring behind him. He pulled into the ER and got out of the truck and was immediately held at gunpoint facedown for 5 minutes with the wife suffering in the passenger seat.

@BULLDOG sorry to hear but even just a mile away he could have pulled over safely and the cop likely would have escorted them the rest of the way. Poor decisions under pressure so I sympathize with both sides

The little sawed off angry man berated him the entire time and told my buddy, "If it wasn't for the baby I would haul your ass to jail right now! You stop when I flash my lights!" etc etc. He got ahold of the Judge and he got ahold of his supervisor that is at the border this week. The supervisor called him from the border almost immediately and listened to the story and was pissed. Says he will be reviewing the body cam footage when he returns and there will be action if warranted.

I hate that my buddy and his wife had to go through that crap during a special time in their lives just because somebody that can't handle power got their feelings hurt. I'm still pissed about it.
