I got a random questionnaire from census.gov. It asks, quote, “What sex were you assigned at birth, on your original birth certificate?”You heard it here first: somehow the alt-right will find a way to be offended by that and will whine about it to no end.

@hackdefendr I disagree that it’s wrong to ask. It would be valuable to have valid estimates of LGBTQ populations for representation purposes.

@tek@freeradical.zone I think it could be asked in a less direct, less abrasive way and not sent alone as a separate question. It should also be optional just like it is on every form ever made.
