Any halfway-sane Christian will agree.My stance is that the early church ironically thrived and spread when people had to hide in houses under threat of persecution, and once Christianity became acceptable, they stagnated and started fighting over stupid things. And now "the salt has lost its saltiness and is good for nothing but to be trampled underfoot," but hopefully we can tighten it up. I'm tired of faggotry in the church, and it's why I'm generally against giving any money to modern churches, in favor of directly helping friends/family in need instead.

You can tautologically disprove the abrahamic mythology with their own words, there's a fuck load of contradictions in there, or just dismiss the god that created all evil as a being you wouldn't want to worship even if somehow did exist. But even with that, that's only like a handful of current religions out of human history's collective imagination. Maybe one of the forgotten ones was real, and nobody could disprove what we didn't even know existed etc.

Last I checked you can see which people are more likely to believe in a god, one part of the brain was over/under developed and it was a pretty accurate tell of whether they would believe something without proof/only on faith.You can record the effects of placebos, so I imagine that yes religious experiences could also be measured. I think having more White advocacy groups is good and to that end I think the njp is good, but I think at the top level those people are too enmeshed in the stuff on the other side. The point wasn't to make a value judgement on big tent stuff in and of itself. The point of it was to point out the disingenuous nature of posturing as a big tent but not actually acting as one. To your point though, I think there's a nice balance of "here is what we want but in practical matters here's some wider boundaries for what/who we'll cooperate with" for success and pinning it down isn't an exact science. With regards to the post. The problem of evil isn't reliant on any one definition of evil, but almost everyone has an interpretation of what wrong is (even though they often differ).Personally though? Probably my parents mostly, my upbringing from them and the education system (some of which backfired, I'm not exactly a roman catholic lol). I studied philosophy and theology, took bits and pieces that made sense from those.. Then general life experiences contributed.

There's a philosopher named Nikolai Berdyayev who has some things to say about the problem of evil, which is really the problem of freedom. Evil is not objective, even culturally speaking there are mutually exclusive opinions on what evil is. There are many perspectives on analyzing what the concept of good/evil are, too many to go through right now tbh. But it's quite self evident that we do not all agree on what is good/evil, that's why we are all so divided. We are animals, primates to be precise. And sure, we could live like other beasts if we wished to. Life is a lot more comfortable this way, and fear rules the herd. Well as you say, the bible is ambigous and contradictory when it describes God. I would say, and I think B. would agree that the central point of being a Christian is believing on Christ and His promise of eternal life, and everything else is after that. B. is definitely coming at Christianity from a different perspective than the usual sorts, who tend to ignore and devalue man. Part of the reason for the "science" push is to cause people to distrust their senses in such a way that they put their faith in the sophists. The vaccine roll out and "trust the science" was a real and ultimate example of this phenomenon, but it manifests in many ways that causes the self to put the locus of knowledge in others without proof of the veracity of their assertions.
