       It is becoming clear that I am stuck in doing web development the way I learned it in 2005. I still like to use a text editor that has FTP, and apparently that's ridiculous. (I'm a hobbyist, so no one cares. Just seeing the ridicule in forums about using FTP rather than Git.)#html

       @cameron After the pioneers did their stuff, idiots came in with a proliferation of complexity in order to grant themselves permanent jobs.Now the market is contracting and they are all going back to selling cell phones and posting Lunix tips on Reddit.

       @cameron they're different things in my mind. It's usually a good idea to have your sources version controlled (i.e use git, or whatever VCS you prefer).How you publish/upload changes is a different problem.
