@stux I hope they do remove FaceTime. Nothing strikes fear and anxiety in me like a FaceTime call.

@stux I hope they do if this comes to pass, but also that they re-enable it for devices using VPNs with endpoints outside the UK rather than geo-locking based on physical device location.

@stux In the UK here; I agree with Apple's stance on this. If they continued to operate those services in the UK after the proposed law changes, I would have to assume that all their security and privacy was actually bullshit.I don't want the services to stop here, but even more so I don't want them to continue to operate here but with less security.

@stux it's similar to here in Canada with Meta refusing to showcase Canadian news because of what the government here is putting into place. Google said the same thing, but I haven't heard if the talks they also agreed to enter into to compromise has happened or what their results are if they have happened.
