Same problem with any tool really. Take for instance the ideal screwdriver produced up until the 40s, and compare with a common screwdriver today. They've cut down the width of the handle to save on plastic and shortened the amount of metal in the handle to save on wire. These changes are for the worse. The new handle types place more stress on the wrist when rotating, and the reduced wire length lessens the amount of force you can exert on the screw head.

@raccoon @dushman Framework almost does that.As far my knowledge goes all they lack is cpu sockets instead of direct soldered BGA cpus, since the next model will have a MXM-SIG slot for modular GPUs.The ultimate goal would be to have chips firmwares under GPL. Which would bring total proprietary death into reality.
