       An odd thought cross my mind today. How do you explain turning things clockwise or counterclockwise to people who cannot read an analog clock?

       @quasigeek my 9 year old son understands clockwise and counterclockwise.  We had an owl clock where you set the hands and pushed a button to reveal the time.  He could tell the time then but years later without practice he forgot.  But rotation stuck. Every other description is confusing.
