       Just received yet another "I don't believe Mastodon will survive for long" argument. Well, I don't believe either, I KNOW IT WILL PROSPER because the facts speak for themselves. Mastodon will survive as long as open source and Internet culture thrives on.Tens of thousands servers should have to die and millions should stop using it for it to "not survive". #Mastodon #OpenSource #SocialMedia

       @rolle I believe “survive” in that persons sense would have to mean that usage would drop off significantly. Which like anything, that can absolutely happen

       @dame Usually when they talk like this they refer to social medias that have died, like Ello, Tsu.co, Google+, Bebo and so forth. Those that nobody remembers but gained an userbase of 1-2 millions or so. But they have the wrong mindset. They think Mastodon as ONE service.
