@mushroom_soup It's not cleaning yourself that has adverse reaction, it's the chlorine in the water which damages skin elasticity and then it's industrially made soaps/shampoo which are full of dangerous chems that also damages you skin/hair.

Humans too the main radical change we are facing is chems in the water, which we now know are dangerous, same for soaps and dental hygiene too which is/can be dangerous depending on the method used.

@mushroom_soup It's hot and humid where I live, if I do anything outside for very long I'm covered in sweat. That's reason enough to jump in shower and rinse off before going to bed. If you take cold shower you won't stay in long and save water. It also calms down the hornt.

If I just sit around at home and it's anywhere from autumn to spring, I usually only start being smelly on day 3, so I usually shower then. Doing some activity or even just existing on hot summer days? Sweaty sweat. So, showering necessary.Don't shower just because 'you should shower', shower when it is necessary, is my motto.

When you wash that often and you hear that someone only showers every three days, it's hard not to feel sudden revulsion, even though they're actually doing the right thing, and you're blasting your surface microbiomes and wrecking your skin.
