The trans pearl clutching on the show, the taking every crazy young person saying crazy shit online, the assumption that extreme ideas are openly accepted by most people and not a small fringe, and the seeing everything that NA doesn't agree with with regards to gender or even fashion (colored hair, piercings, etc) is (and this word is over used) but it's boomer as shit. Just let people love and if they start to actually attempt to force you to change then clutch the pearls.

@bigt2000 The fringe is becoming the center when corporations, education, banking, academia and politicians are pushing these ideas. Then it is no longer fringe. Yes, the majority of people might not be pushing this but the institutions that touch our lives surely are. Like the mandated Covid vaccines, it’s knocking on everyone’s door in one way or another and has an agenda. To say it is not or to not care where it is coming from is naive and dangerous.

@Peaceandprosperity the comments have been (if I'm remembering correctly) during the TikTok segments, but I could be wrong. The examples you posted (ty btw) are messed up but the MI one if passed would definitely be taken to the Supreme Court and would most likely be overturned because I'd imagine it would go against freedom of speech. The other one I need to look into more.

@bigt2000 For corporations to push an agenda that bleeds their stocks dry is antithetical to their whole purpose. These minority fringe groups are only being exploited to push the Communist/Maoist agenda anyway. If I refuse to use someone’s pronoun at work then I lose my job. But that’s not coming for me? @bigt2000 I am the father of 2 girls, ages 12 and 14. My oldest daughter was introduced to the idea that because she wasn't comfortable in her changing body it wasn't because ALL women are uncomfortable in their body during puberty and that it's totally normal, but that it's because she was born into the wrong body. This lead to self harm, depression, suicidal thoughts, male pronouns and a name change. It took 2+ years to get her back. The state would gladly take her away from me. It's real

@Stuxnet1984 no, I think the fake meat thing is about vegetarianism because I lived with vegans/vegetarians for about 10 years as roommates (ending about 10 years ago) and these meat alternatives were around then, but there are more options and better products now. There is pearl clutching with the idea of "they are going to take our meat away" but they aren't unless it becomes more profitable to do so, meaning the majority consumers make it happen.

If people are outraged about something, most likely they haven't looked into it that much or they are being irrationally afraid of the topic. Kids being forced to transition or not going through the proper steps, that's bad. Trans people existing and expressing themselves, that's fine. Live and let live.

@bigt2000 The fake meat issue is all about carbon. That’s all the WEF and the like talk about. The vegetarian aspect is the bonus guise for vegetarians but is by no means the main reason. Yes, people can do what they want but when it comes to our children that’s a line and is most understood by us that have children. But, even then they came after everyone with the vaccine, so the “live and let live” creed was thrown out of the window. We’ll just let this play out and revisit this thread later.
