It's surprising how many people are natural followers, even in alternative spaces.If you are prone to following fads and fashions, you can be very easily led.The current fads I see in the right wing space are the Christian revival and a hard lean towards authoritarianism, which appears reactionary towards the bonkers batshittification of the modern left. That's kinda sad because your politics are defined by what you're against rather than what you're for.Anyway, explore your own motives.

@Sabex you make a good point. I think a lnother big reason that a lot of people have turned to religion is covid. My kids were really F'd up during covid and are still weird about germs, bacteria, sweat, etc. It got pretty dark and I turned to God for solice. I can't be the only one.

@Sabex that's so true. And I started using magic mushrooms therapeutically. I've only had a couple of therapeutic trips, but they were very powerful and it felt like God was showing me answers to things I didn't know about myself. And he's been right so far, so I'm grateful I've done it.
