       @KimPerales It's not just in the south and midwest, it was all over the country.In Eastern Washington state, the Tri-Cities is Kennewick, Richland, Pasco. Kennewick and Richland were sundown towns, all the "domestics" lived in Pasco, and had to be back there before the sun set, or face arrest.

Having grown up in Illinois, he knew he would do more research in that state than any other, simply owing to his familiarity with it.
