@Archivist @jeff @GramrgednAngel the reason you don't see farming automation at the level you should is precisely because it's economical for farmers to rely on migrants that will work for shit wages and under dangerous working conditions. This i similar in some ways to slavery. The South could have been far more productive and competitive economically with the north if they automated but they had cheap labor so why bother.
