       @dave This reminds me of when things started getting cheaper - I remember Freeserve in the UK being a bit of a game changer, but it would boot you every 2 hours, IIRC.Then later on, some people who had cable connections would also get a free dialup service to use, I'm not sure why - maybe when they were away from home? It called an 0800 number so was free for the caller - an internet friend let me use his for ages. Good times.
