@stopgopfox I don’t understand how a state can do this based on the reality of textbook production. I read there are delays for publishing houses. TX, CA, FL markets dominate the market and the curriculum. Publishers like Harcourt Brace produce materials used nationally. If red and blue states are fighting a culture war, schoolbooks can’t be produced.

@clairwil In the end, it will drive up costs for everyone. But especially for red states where the whole curriculum will need to be overhauled versus the blue ones where old textbooks can be kept if new ones can't be afforded (in physical or digital form).
