       I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, but seeing clips from today's GOP House committee hearing on #HunterBiden makes me think that those Republicans are worried about soon getting indicted and are willing to try anything now to try to throw a monkey wrench in the gears of justice.

       @Ibleedblue @GreenFire Targeted harassment campaigns are intended to mess with the target's head.They hope to drive the target into losing sobriety, causing mental health crisis, cost a fortune in legal fees, trigger mental anguish in parents, and create false narratives that erodes support for the target.For Republicans, the cruelty is the point.

       @Npars01 @Ibleedblue @GreenFire The cruelty is literally the point, it has a very specific purpose:What DeSantis and Abbot and other red states are doing is making life as miserable as possible for blue demographics, in an effort to drive enough of them out to other states to solidify their own states as red, and thereby lock the senate forever.

       @GreenFire @Npars01 @Ibleedblue Most high school seniors will be old enough to vote in the 2024 general election. If there are organizers (or celebrities) who know how to reach them, that could be worthwhile.

       @samhainnight @weaselx86 @Npars01 @Ibleedblue And any privileged white person that doesn't bother voting is just helping to allow the voter suppression the supremacists use to stay in power in the states like Texas, Alabama, Louisiana, etc. too.In order to fix voter suppression, beyond what @marcelias and team can do, is to help reduce voter apathy.

Also, though, consider helping people with rides to the polls, handing out water to people in long voting lines (where legal), push your county to have more polling places and more polls in them, remind people to check their registration,and if you can, support organizations that help people get ID so they can vote.And of course, always follow @TonyStark
