@filenotfound Nobody’s making women or men have a paid job, if they can find a wealthy spouse. Or a commune. The point is having the option.Honestly, raising children would be far more overwhelming to me than my current job. I’d rather do paperwork and read boring documents than deal with screaming, hair-pulling trip hazards.Anyway, ten bucks says she’s a spoiled kid fresh out of college or a trad posing as an overwhelmed office drone.

@LisbonMuse @filenotfound Yeah I mean you’re responsible for taking a fragile blank-slate human and not only keeping your child alive and healthy, but raising her/him to be a functioning, psychologically well and compassionate adult. I have enormous respect for competent parents.

@filenotfound Because men of my Generation got married and had a baby to avoid the draft in Vietnam and then they abandoned their families for “sex and drugs and rock ‘n’ roll” turning women into “welfare mothers”. Women were excluded from most jobs especially after they were married or had children and doomed to poverty. Corporations utilized this betrayal of the social contract to maximize their profit. The end result being that women could not adequately perform traditional “women’s work “ which is the only essential work, keeping living things alive: children, elders, sick people, animals, plants, the Earth itself.The whole point of “Choice” was about far more than abortion, it was about women having the choice to design a life worth living and living well.
