@vriska im so glad i never drank the kool aid like for a brief second i felt bad then i realized 5 mins later i was "illegally" downloading roms and was like "oh well im broke anyways why do i care"Then i learned how to torrent a few years later (i somehow never really figured out torrenting until 2020 or so. I did it briefly but i avoided it cause utorrent sucks [even more so now] and i didnt know other clients existed)

@Mondobizarrro I remember specifically learning to pirate music because Metallica was mad people were doing it. I downloaded death magnetic like six times and deleted it off my computer because I wanted to stick it to them lol

@vriska you're only 9 years older than me if you're 30 since im 21. Thats not that much older. People will understand im 21 then be shocked i was born in 2002 or vice versa. They think im young cause i was born in 02 yet im 21.

@dushman @vriska i wish i could see them live but i got into them around 2019 when it showed up in my yt recommended feed. Was the original harakiri diat upload of etazhi with the green cover. At that point it wasnt even out for a year. I live in the us so i wouldnt be able to see them live but really they are still quite far from "mainstream" even if they are more popular than they were in 2017

@vriska @thememesniper for legal reasons I have to say piracy is bad, but if you're pirating media that isn't being sold anymore, there is basically no harm to the copyright holder, so it shouldn't be illegal I think
