@futurebird Having done my field work in the Scottish highlands, the only places that look like this are the sheep fanks*. Even the common grazings have higher and more diverse grasses than this.England has some places where these "rolling greens" are moderately endemic, but even those are largely on former commons that have been enclosed.* Even the sheep fanks don't look like this because they're covered in sheep shit.

@MichaelTBacon Mowing grass so it looks like sheep live there is endlessly confusing to me. I blame the golf courses for making this popular. Everyone wants the sheep without the poop.
