Cloudflare is evilLike wtf, how is that a norm that some random company can completely block access to website that does not belong to it if their paranoid and invasive checks decide that you are not, in fact, a human, despite you literally opening their website from web browser

@untsuki It's worth to mention #Cloudflare's prejudgement against #Tor users. They say in their communication that their software is suspicious of Tor users because, they say, a lot of malicious activity is hidden behind Tor. But those who really get hurt by this decision are legitimate Tor users that use it to preserve #privacy or circumvent #censorship. Also, due to some bug probably, their checks get occasionally stuck in some kind of refresh loop as of lately. Not only are they controlling a big part of the Web, they also do a poor job of it.Bravo Cloudflare, congratulations on making it to the Top 10 evil corporations list 👏

@blu256 I just got blocked out of website, probably because of vpn (one that is only used by my family, not a free or other public one) since it gets launched in native Chromium WebView without ad and tracker blocking

@untsuki Few things are more frustrating than getting blocked by Cloudflare. For some pages you can circumvent that via Wayback Machine or some kind of HTTP proxy service.

@untsuki having a web browser isn't an automatic "you're human" approvalPopular browsers can all be run in "headless" mode and there's tools like Puppeteer to control said browser in a bot-like manner.

@Rush Right, but if would make an anti-bot protection, I would rather make a proper captcha when in doubt, or analyze input for human-likeness using neural networks or something, instead of just rebooting page over and over for no apparent reason

@untsuki thing is, that is exactly what's happeningit's essentially a suite of different tests to try and figure out whether a given visitor is human or not.

@blu256 @untsuki And also if they stopped lying to there costumers about it is "Protecting" there #insecure server connections and instead tolled them the truth, that the "Protected against" chart in reality is a #CloudFlare prevent this many users to access your domain and buy your things... wondering how many sheep's they would have left in the that stable...
