Adding 10 layers of "Are you REALLY sure?" does not solve anything and only causes frustration to those who are actually careful. Negligent users will type any confirmation you require without an ounce of thoughts.

@galdor I think it's more about accidental actions (clicking on Delete instead of Edit) than actual "confirmation" ( as in bear the consequences of your actions)

@hszakher Confirmation for highly destructive actions in a visual interface are fine, e.g. a modal explaining what the consequences are. Ideally there should be a global account option to disable them.In the other hand, having to type the name of a GitHub project before deleting it…
