       About a quarter of the way through my summer reading project, The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich. It seems kind of obvious to say but the Nazi tactics used to seize power are disturbingly familiar. Intimidation, gaslighting, othering, breaking norms, harkening back to an idealized past, delegitimizing institutions -- the American conservative strategy personified by the likes of Trump, Desantis and all their lackeys comes from the same DNA.#VoteBlue
