Installing vim9 (vim 7.1 port to Plan 9) makes a big difference 😜​I want to like acme but... reaching for my mouse to do cursor movement isn't something I'm willing to try and get used to

@tux0r sam is like crazy vim. :) I've used it a few times, but I really like my syntax highlighting.

@tux0r oh I know I know I've read plenty of diatribes against it, even Pike's.I would be fine with it even just being italics / bold / underlining like on old B&W Macs.

@robdaemon I configured my IDEs at work (Windows...) to only highlight comments. Works for me!It just shouldn't be distracting. It usually is.

@tux0r oh I totally get it, I do. I don't use overly bright color themes. I think the most helpful things to highlight are strings (easy to see the terminators) and comments, basically.
